Small Group Q & A

Do I have to sign up to go to a small group?
No, but if it be possible, we would like to know who is coming.

Can I go to more than one small group?
All the groups will be the same each week, so we prefer that you go to the one closest to your home.

What is the purpose of small groups?
1) To build up relationships with people
2) To help mature the believers
3) To evangelize the lost

Can I bring my kids to small group?
Yes, but if at all possible please get a babysitter. Each group will handle the child care needs on their own. Ask your group leader for more information.

Can I have a small group in my home?
Each small group will branch and move into new neighborhoods, and your home could be considered.

How do I sign up for a small group?
You can sign up online at www.ParadiseChurchLV.com or call the office, or simply show up to the small group. Addresses and maps are available online as well.

Will we be having more locations for small groups?
Yes. As our groups grow and branch into other groups, we will have locations all over the valley. If there is no group in your neighborhood, maybe a future group can meet at your house.

Can I go to a small group instead of church?
Only if you have to work on Sundays. The small group is NOT a substitute for the church body.

What if I can't make it to my small group, can I go to another one?
Yes. But we would like for you to stay and build relationships with the same group.

What if the small groups get too big?
Our goal is to have 10-14 people in a small group. When they exceed that number we will shortly thereafter start another group.

Can I bring my friends to the small group?
Yes! That is one of the main reasons for small groups. They're designed to get the unchurched connected to churched people (and ultimately Jesus Christ). It's a lot less intimidating to go to someone's house than church on Sunday if someone is not used to church.

What will we be talking about in the small group?
Stay tuned!

What do we do if the small group is on a holiday?
We won't meet on holidays but the small group may choose to have a party or a social event during that particular week. (The curriculum basically follows the school year.)

Do I need to go to small group every week?
We want everyone to want to come to their small group as often as they can.

If you still have questions, call Pastor Mike at the church at (702) 732-8555.
