Today talk about this message-
* Paul explains this message so simply… here's the deal, the Raw information.

Romans 3:21 A Logical explanation… the message made plain by Paul
1. Circle "righteousness"= "a right standing with God"
a. A right standing with someone= Means no junk between people, when get together everything is just fine.
b. When you are thinking about God & He is thinking about you nothing is wrong.
I don't have to be afraid if I died right now

2. "Of God" - this righteousness is of God ("but NOW… to this point a right standing with God COMES from me) My effort…
a. Right standing with God - comes from God & is without the law
(means; you don't can't earn it) not about good works.

3. "…Being witnessed the law & the prophets". - The whole OT, performance based.
It pointed in this direction.

4. 3:22 "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith through Jesus Christ..." circle "faith" & circle "law" v. 21)
Draw line from faith to law & another line from law to faith (that was the old way)

5. 3:22b "…unto all and upon all them that believe:" - not just an American message.
FOR everyone, who puts their faith in Christ- they will have a right relationship with God.
* When I get this it CHANGES EVERYTHING!

6. 3:22c "… for there is no difference:"
- There is NO distiniction.
- Everyone is on the same playing field- not some better than others.

7. 3:23a "For all have sinned…" "For" because we are all in the same boat… then…
To get a right standing with God, comes from God to all who believe… BECAUSE ALL have sinned!
"SIN"= the transgression of the law, broken the law, I am a CRIMINAL before God.

8. 3:23b "and come short of the glory of God"
* Short of the right standing with God- to get that back you would have to be PERFECT.
Sinned one time- still missed the mark, Can't make up your imperfection.
* The standard is the greatness of (glory) of God.
* This "God kind of righteousness"… BUT you can have a right standing back- by faith not the LAW, (not by comparison with others)

9. 3:24 "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:"
a. "Justified" = "to render just or righteous"
Gal 2:16 "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."

b. "Freely"= "gratuitous , without charge"… see next verse
Gal 2:21 "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."
c. "Redemption"- in case you didn't get the first time- you didn't get all this because you DID something.

10. 3:25a "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood…"
* We have all felt alienated from someone because of_____________.
If we are honest we have felt alienated from God because we have all done things that are wrong.
"Propitiation" = "In theology, the atonement or atoning sacrifice offered to God to assuage his wrath and render him propitious to sinners. Christ is the propitiation for the sins of men."
1Jo 4:10 "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

11. 3:25b "… to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
* To declare His righteousness (that propitious item of His blood!

12. 3:26 " To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
* Awesome! Because God is just & to bring us into a right relationship with Him…
* I am JUST (so sin has to be paid for) & I am the JUSTIFIER (so I sent the only payment that I could / would accept) the blood of my Son.

Conclusion:
That is why we will continue with all of our heart & power, build, move, work, pray, with all our leadership, all our finances, to keep creating environments' where that SIMPLE message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can go forth to the UNJUST so they can become the JUST!

* Everybody is invited, everyone meets the requirements, and everybody needs to be RIGHT with God!
