Diversion
Colossians 2:18-23
August 16, 2006

Have you ever had your attention diverted away from something that you were focused on? We try to focus on the things of God and there are those who would steer our attention in the wrong direction. We can lose our ability to earn eternal rewards if we serve Christ with our flesh. Nothing of eternal spiritual value can ever be accomplished through our flesh; it can only be done through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I will keep my focus on serving Christ and obtaining his rewards

I will not attempt spiritual progress through my flesh
