Goals of Discipleship

• To establish the Disciple in the "Word of God"
• To establish the Disciple in the "Fellowship of Other Believers"
• To establish the Disciple in the "Structure of the Local Church"
• To establish the Disciple in the "Work Of the Ministry"

Four Basic Necessities

• Pray
• Verse Memorization
• Daily Bible Reading
• Journaling

The Biblical Pattern of Discipleship

When proper discipleship takes place, the disciple will grow through a seven stage process. This pattern was established by the Lord Jesus Christ with his twelve disciples.

• Stage I. Repentance – A changed life
• Stage II. Enlightenment – Learning about the one who made the change
• Stage III. Ministry Training – Basic involvement
• Stage IV. Leadership Development – The cream will rise to the top
• Stage V. Re-evaluation and Separation – Testing leadership, a time of proving
• Stage VI. Leadership in Ministry – The leader leads
• Stage VII. World Vision – Spiritual maturity
